Afrocity - Enchanted Urbanities

From July 15 to October 2, 2021
National Superior School of Architecture of Nantes

From July 15 to October 2, 2021, the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Nantes will host a series of cultural and scientific events (exhibition with dramatized visits, inaugural performance, round table, projections) questioning the place of women in the making of the city in Africa.

This highlight, entitled "Afrocity, enchanted urbanities", takes a look at contemporary Africa and draws an updated representation of the cities that make it up.

Addressing the issues and demands of women, the exhibition probes more globally the notions of territoriality, mobility, citizenship and femininity in this plural and heterogeneous continent. Installed in the Loire Gallery, the exhibition favors digital technology and photography to offer a panorama of urban dynamics generated and carried by women.
